About this grant
Founded in 1999, Mongabay.org is a nonprofit conservation and environmental news platform of original reporting in English, Indonesian, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. The grantee produces coverage of energy development and finance and its impacts on environmental and social sustainability in the greater Amazon. The COVID-19 pandemic has increased demand for high-quality journalism. This increase will support Mongabay.org staff to continue reporting on critical Amazon issues and respond to the increased communication demands resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
