Tennessee Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support the United Ways of Tennessee which coordinates the Tennessee State Afterschool Network to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. Specific initiatives will include: 1) increase the presence of youth voice in afterschool programs across the state through a youth advisory council and programming that empowers youth as change agents; 2) expand partnerships in rural communities, the business community and across state agencies to increase access and quality of afterschool programming across Tennessee; 3) work with education stakeholders and policymakers to design and implement education recovery funding to help Tennessee youth recover and thrive; 4) work with the Mott Foundation to design future afterschool programs and ecosystems; and 5) support the promotion and distribution of Mizzen resources.
