North Carolina Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support the Public School Forum of North Carolina which coordinates the North Carolina State Afterschool Network to expand access to high quality afterschool programs for young people. Specific initiatives will include: 1) develop regional networks within North Carolina to support staff professional development, build partnerships and better respond to the needs of local youth; 2) leverage local and statewide partnerships to advance afterschool program quality standards across North Carolina; 3) work with education stakeholders and policymakers to design and implement education recovery funding to help North Carolina youth recover and thrive; 4) work with the Mott Foundation to design future afterschool programs and ecosystems; and 5) support the promotion and distribution of Mizzen resources.
