Missouri Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support the University of Missouri, Columbia, which coordinates the Missouri Afterschool Network to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. Specific initiatives will include: 1) increase the number of afterschool programs available for young people by providing comprehensive professional development and workforce supports for the afterschool field in Missouri; 2) enhance youth outcomes by leading a bi-state initiative to build additional afterschool opportunities in the Greater Kansas City metro area; 3) work with education stakeholders and policymakers to design and implement education recovery funding to help Missouri youth recover and thrive; 4) work with the Mott Foundation to design future afterschool programs and ecosystems; and 5) support the promotion and distribution of Mizzen resources.
