Arkansas Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support the Arkansas State University System Foundation which coordinates the Arkansas Afterschool Network to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. Specific initiatives will include: 1) increase the number of afterschool programs available for young people through implementing statewide professional development programs, including a new leadership institute for afterschool providers; 2) enhance youth outcomes by establishing an Arkansas Youth Voice and Opportunity Corp to involve youth in the development of future afterschool programs; 3) work with education stakeholders and policymakers to design and implement education recovery funding to help Arkansas youth recover and thrive; 4) work with the Mott Foundation to design future afterschool programs and ecosystems; and 5) support the promotion and distribution of Mizzen resources.
