Rhode Island Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support the Rhode Island Foundation which coordinates the Rhode Island Afterschool Network to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. Specific initiatives will include: 1) increase the number of afterschool programs available for young people through coordinating state and local policies to advance afterschool and summer learning opportunities; 2) enhance youth outcomes by leading a workforce development initiative to support the afterschool workforce in Rhode Island; 3) work with education stakeholders and policymakers to design and implement education recovery funding to help Rhode Island youth recover and thrive; 4) work with the Mott Foundation to design future afterschool programs and ecosystems; and 5) support the promotion and distribution of Mizzen resources.
