About this grant

This grant to Indiana Afterschool Network, Inc., will enable the grantee to increase the availability and expansion of college and career exploration, financial literacy or college affordability planning by enhancing quality afterschool and summer learning opportunities for underserved youth. This project will support the grantee to: 1) design and implement an innovative program model focused on college and career exploration and employability skills to be utilized in out-of-school time settings; 2) implement professional development strategies and resources for afterschool professionals to support youth engagement in college and career readiness initiatives; and 3) leverage relationships with key stakeholders to engage new partners in workforce development strategies across the state. The grantee will share promising practices and resources with the Mott-funded 50 State Networks and Mizzen by Mott to enhance college and career readiness initiatives in afterschool programs nationally. The grantee is also a recipient of funding from the Advancing Afterschool portfolio as a statewide afterschool network. This grant will support the Indiana Afterschool Network, Inc., to build upon a specific opportunity within their state to leverage additional resources and partnerships for afterschool and summer learning programs.
