About this grant
The project goal is to build a network of champions to guide the development of an open and democratic internet and digital sphere. To this end, the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs, in partnership with the Center for International Private Enterprise and the Center for International Media Assistance, implements the Open Internet for Democracy Initiative. The Initiative involves each partner carrying out a range of aligned activities, including community building, networking and capacity development for digital rights activists, leaders and organizations. As part of this initiative, during the grant period, the grantee will develop resource materials, design and conduct workshops for digital rights activists and strengthen leadership within the field. Founded in 1983, the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs is a nonprofit organization working to strengthen and expand democracy worldwide.
