About this grant
There are many water equity and ecological challenges that are disproportionately impacting communities of color in the Midwest, such as access to clean and affordable drinking water. The Midwest Environmental Justice Network, a project of the Minneapolis Foundation, focuses on building disadvantaged groups’ capacity in the Great Lakes to address water equity issues and other related environmental justice concerns. With partial Mott support over the next two years, the network will provide large and small grants as well as technical assistance to frontline groups to strengthen their internal operations and more effectively engage on a range of water policy issues.
