About this grant
Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Industrial Heartland Case Study on Environmental Justice project, part of the second phase of the Roosevelt Project, explores the challenges facing the United States economy as it moves through the global transition to a low-carbon future, including the challenges and opportunities around justice and economic equity in the Upper Midwest. With Mott Foundation support, the grantee will focus an equity lens on how the transition to electric vehicles will affect communities in Michigan and neighboring states, influence environmental policy and impact workforce issues.
