About this grant

Vasudha Foundation USA undertakes research, analysis and knowledge-transfers between countries in the Global South to improve access to renewable energy and increase international financial institution investment in clean energy. With prior Mott Foundation support, the grantee compiled and analyzed critical data on growing energy access in African countries as well as mapped out key projects and sources of finance. The information is used to underpin African civil society’s engagement with national governments as well as the African Development Bank and the World Bank. This grant will conclude this work by creating a repository of data recording progress on energy access and related investment from 2015 to date. Vasudha Foundation USA will also produce two public-facing reports documenting lessons learned, making recommendations for further engagement and identifying areas for future work.
