About this grant
The purpose of this grant is to help address the long-standing and emerging issues facing immigrants in the Americas. Alianza Americas’ mission is to bring about a more inclusive, equitable and sustainable way of life for under-served immigrant communities living in the United States and across Mexico and Central America. During the previous grant period, the grantee led delegations to Mexico and Central America, supported transnational coalitions and provided learning opportunities for multiple audiences. During this grant period, the grantee will: 1) strengthen transnational networks; 2) educate policymakers; 3) host delegations; 4) advocate on behalf of migrants; and 5) support its membership. Founded in 2004 by Mexican, Central American and Caribbean immigrant leaders, Alianza Americas is a network of over 50 members in 13 states, representing over 150,000 migrant families across the United States, with dozens of organizational partners in Mexico and Central America.
