About this grant

The Overseas Development Institute will conduct research into people-centered justice reforms in lower-income countries in order to identify learning and scaling opportunities. Detailed case studies will be done in five countries including Bangladesh, Kenya, Malawi, Sierra Leone and Uganda. These will examine how reforms were adopted, total costs and related financing and what lessons may be adopted for other contexts. Particular attention will be given to cost effectiveness and financing needs for adaptation and scaling of successful reforms. Findings will be shared with governments, development agencies, and other funding and justice partners. Established in 1960, and based in the United Kingdom, the Overseas Development Institute works to inspire people to act on injustice and inequality through research, convening and advocacy.
