About this grant
The program goal is to encourage community foundations to advance the Sustainable Development Goals at the local level. To this end, the Community Foundation for Greater Flint will build its capacity to adopt the goals as a framework to holistically evaluate its work and to communicate impact to its donors, peers and community. The grantee will conduct an internal analysis of the intersectionality between its work and the goals, collect baseline data in Genesee County and assess the community’s capacity to organize and improve performance on the goals. The grantee will then develop a plan to adopt the goals as a framework for evaluating and communicating its impact, especially around racial equity, and as a comprehensive business model and practice. Founded in 1988, the Community Foundation for Greater Flint is a major local philanthropic entity that strives to accelerate equitable and sustainable improvements in the quality of life for all Genesee County residents.
