About this grant
Infrastructure and energy projects constructed by development finance institutions like the World Bank and Asian Development Bank often come with environmental, social or governance risks. To address these risks, Accountability Counsel deploys lawyers to engage with these development finance institutions’ accountability offices in order to advocate for people harmed by these institutions’ projects in infrastructure and energy. Over the grant period, the grantee will amplify the voices of communities to assist people to effectively use development finance institutions’ accountability offices to defend their rights and remedy harm caused by internationally financed projects and access justice.
