About this grant
Weave: The Social Fabric Project was established in 2018 to highlight the problem of America’s social fragmentation and its solution. Through this project, the Aspen Institute will connect and inspire new generations and lift up the work of "weavers" — people who know their neighborhood well and are motivated by a deep calling to reach out to those who are marginalized. Project activities include establishing a Weave Advisory Board, connecting and supporting weavers by offering local chapters, establishing a weaver speakers bureau, identifying and inspiring new weavers, introducing and integrating weavers into the networks and systems of community change, and effectively communicating the impact of weaving on the social crises of our nation. Established in 1949, Aspen Institute is a leading U.S. think tank with an international network of partners that fosters values-based leadership and provides a neutral and balanced venue for discussing and acting on critical issues.
