About this grant

EnAccess — a Netherlands-based nonprofit organization — is developing a global network of innovators who openly share their knowledge and technologies to accelerate the adoption and use of modern energy access solutions in developing countries. Previous support to EnAccess has enabled the organization to develop several integrated components to such an ecosystem. These components include identifying gaps in the energy access sector and supporting the creation and adoption of the required technologies and tools to address such gaps. This work has also included the curation of an open repository of high-quality, proven energy access technologies and software, as well as the promotion of their widespread use across the energy access community. During this grant period, the grantee will support open-access innovations to support the use of off-grid solar solutions in agricultural value chains. EnAccess will also strengthen its aid to local innovators and associated innovation ecosystems to support the widespread adoption and use of existing open innovations.
