About this grant
The project goal is to increase the awareness, understanding and engagement of civil society organizations in West Africa to the digital security risks that impact their work and the communities they serve. To achieve this, the West Africa Civil Society Institute will identify and raise awareness about the digital security risks, generate new knowledge on the issues and strengthen the capacity of civil society organizations and actors. Through this project, the grantee will: 1) map the digital security risks for nonprofits in the region; 2) produce material that will create awareness around these risks; 3) provide training to organizations on ways to mitigate the risks; 4) document the stories of change; 5) support a community of practice; and 6) apply the knowledge generated to support policy reform efforts for the sector. The West Africa Civil Society Institute works to strengthen the institutional and operational capacities of civil society organizations in the region.
