About this grant

The Land Trust Alliance is a national organization that provides technical support, training, capacity building and other assistance to support land conservation across the country. Seventy-five of their member land trusts work in the Great Lakes Basin, protecting land and water quality in the region. With previous Mott Foundation support, the grantee provided services that strengthened land and water conservation, helped build effective networks of land trust practitioners and increased support of local projects. With renewed support, the Land Trust Alliance will be able to continue to address the needs of land trusts, in the face of climate change, to advance conservation goals and better protect and safeguard water quality in the Great Lakes region.
