About this grant

The project goal is to support Ukrainian community foundations as they respond to critical humanitarian needs that have arisen as a result of Russia’s war on Ukraine. Established in 1999, Ednannia is a recognized indigenous grantmaker, well regarded for its rigorous, transparent, responsive and effective processes to support community-level, grassroots organizations throughout Ukraine. The grantee has supported community foundation development in Ukraine since 2009 through technical assistance, information, education and regranting. The grantee will provide grants to up to 18 Ukrainian community foundations in order to ensure that they can effectively respond to the needs of their communities, internally displaced persons, donors and volunteers. They will also support local authorities in establishing shelters for the displaced, coordinate logistics of humanitarian support deliveries and collect funds for their communities. In addition to managing the regranting process, Ednannia will continue to provide informational and organizational development support to the community foundations.
