About this grant
The program goal is to strengthen the capacity of community foundations in Europe to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. To this end, the Academy for the Development of Philanthropy in Poland will provide tailor-made grantmaking and technical assistance programs to community foundations in Europe to stimulate innovation in identifying and implementing local responses to global challenges. The grantee will develop a series of learning materials to support community foundations in their work on the global goals. Additionally, this grant increase will allow the grantee to help European community foundations address the current pressing challenges related to Ukrainian refugees in Europe following Russia’s war on Ukraine. To this end, the grantee will provide small grants to community foundations in European host countries for a wide range of refugee-related activities, including purchase and distribution of humanitarian aid, volunteer recruitment and training, and integration and adaptation services for people arriving from Ukraine.
