About this grant
The Derecho Ambiente y Recursos Naturales is a Peruvian nongovernmental organization with offices in Lima and Iquitos, the capital of the Peruvian Amazon Department of Loreto. Over the last grant period, the organization has successfully brought off-grid solar energy systems to communities in the Peruvian Amazon, bolstering community resilience and actively contributing to solutions for climate change. With the renewal of this grant, the grantee aims to further its impact by gathering valuable insights, developing detailed recommendations for reform and disseminating them to enhance access to renewable energy by communities throughout the Peruvian Amazon. Additionally, Derecho Ambiente y Recursos Naturales will continue to develop off-grid solar energy systems, focusing on promoting sustainable production practices at the community level.
