About this grant
The project goal is to elevate the voices of African civil society organizations at the 2023 United Nations High-level Political Forum and the Sustainable Development Goal Summit. Particular attention will be given to African nonprofits working in the area of access to justice and addressing Sustainable Development Goal 16. To this extent, the United Nations Foundation will: 1) provide strategic advice, insights and technical assistance; 2) broker partnerships with other actors working in this area especially around the UNmute civil society campaign; and 3) promote links with its work on young leaders, activists and thinkers, including its support for the Unlock the Future Coalition. The United Nations Foundation is a strategic partner to help the United Nations mobilize the ideas, people and resources it needs to deliver a diverse and durable constituency for collective action.
