About this grant
The Alliance for the Great Lakes is a well-established regional organization working to protect and restore the Great Lakes ecosystem and thus improve the lives of people throughout the basin. For the last several years, the grantee has been working with another organization, the Southeast Environmental Task Force, to strengthen the Calumet Connect Partnership, a coalition of community-based groups pursuing clean water and climate resilience on the Southeast side of Chicago. This grant increase is for the general purposes of the Alliance for the Great Lakes, including its interest in building the organizational capacity of the task force so that Calumet Connect becomes a fully community-led partnership addressing the needs of the corridor for both people and wildlife.
