Informing State Legislatures: Statewide Afterschool Policy

About this grant

This grant will provide funding to support the National Conference of State Legislatures in its work to educate state legislators about the benefits of quality afterschool programs and to build capacity to implement comprehensive afterschool and summer learning opportunities. Specifically, the grantee will: 1) conduct ongoing activities to educate legislators on the role of afterschool and summer learning programs in future education systems; 2) serve on a national advisory for the 50 State Network; and 3) work with the Mott Foundation to support future planning efforts to benefit the afterschool sector and the young people it serves.
