Michigan Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant will support the Michigan Association of United Ways which coordinates the Michigan Afterschool Network to expand access to high-quality afterschool programs for young people. Specific initiatives will include: 1) increase the number of afterschool programs available for young people through supporting the new state afterschool program in Michigan; 2) enhance youth outcomes by supporting youth voice in the design of future afterschool programs and incorporating diversity, equity and inclusion standards; 3) work with education stakeholders and policymakers to design and implement education recovery funding to help Michigan youth recover and thrive; 4) work with the Mott Foundation to design future afterschool programs and ecosystems; and 5) support the promotion and distribution of Mizzen resources.
