About this grant
The goal of the project is to advance the adoption of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by community foundations in the U.S. as a means to enhance their community leadership role. CFLeads will begin the project by developing a case statement for U.S. community foundation engagement with the Sustainable Development Goals. It will then establish a community of practice of 10 community foundations with varied experience in applying the goals to their work. Over the course of two years, through a guided peer learning process, these community foundations will help the grantee develop a tool for aligning a community foundation’s work with the goals and executing an implementation plan. The grantee will also create a strategy and program for engaging community foundations in learning opportunities around the goals as well as a document that demonstrates the relevance and importance of tying the work to activate the goals to community leadership practices. CFLeads is a U.S.-based national network of community foundations committed to community leadership.
