About this grant

The goal of this project is to support civil society resilience in Ukraine. Dunamis Ukraine is an initiative aimed at empowering Ukrainian civil society with essential skills and knowledge for recovery and reconstruction, elevating citizen voices at the local level, and nurturing the next generation of leaders for Ukrainian civil society. The initiative will comprise a blend of in-person and remote learning, reaching approximately 100 participants via: 1) a core course; 2) mentoring; 3) research; 4) capstone projects; 5) professional development; and 6) career support. The initiative is integrated within the Invisible University for Ukraine, a hybrid certificate program of the Central European University that has reached over 600 graduate and undergraduate students from more than 70 Ukrainian universities since spring 2022. Founded in 1991, the Central European University is an undergraduate and graduate-level “crossroads” university where faculty and students from more than 100 countries come to engage in interdisciplinary education, pursue advanced scholarships and address some of society’s most vexing problems.
