Health and Equity Impacts of the Flint State Park

About this grant

This grant will support a research study to evaluate the health and equity impacts of Flint’s new state park. Researchers at Michigan State University will leverage data from the Flint Registry, a database created to assess health outcomes of residents impacted by the water crisis, to recruit residents to participate in the three-year study. The team will use cutting edge data collection methods to assess the psychological, biological, health, environmental and behavioral outcomes of residents who have improved access to parks. Results will be shared with residents, community partners and the environmental field.
