Engage Every Student Initiative

About this grant

This grant increase will enable the American Association of School Administrators to expand support for the Engage Every Student Initiative, which seeks to establish an afterschool program spot for every youth who needs one through use of education recovery resources, including American Rescue Plan funding. Seizing the opportunity to amplify a new programmatic area and looking forward to a changing funding landscape, the grantee will use this grant increase to: 1) support the July 2024 Engage Every Student Summit, including ensuring Engage Every Student National Recognition Program awardees can attend and share their work; 2) leverage partnerships to create resources for the development of post-American Rescue Plan funding strategies; 3) identify 10 states to deepen technical assistance efforts; and 4) partner with the National Summer Learning Association to elevate best practices for summer learning among local districts.
