About this grant

The project goal is to foster partnerships between community foundations and other organizations in North, Central, and South America. Project activities will include peer learning and convenings for community foundations and other organizations, presentations at conferences, regranting for community foundations to conduct mapping exercises, and a strategic planning process. The project will be managed by CFLeads, an organization that helps community foundations build strong communities by advancing effective practices, sharing knowledge, and galvanizing action on critical issues. The purpose of this increase is to enhance the grantee’s capacity to work on the Building Broader Communities in the Americas initiative through support for a project director, a strategic plan, and travel funds. Established in 1991 as the Coalition of Community Foundations for Youth under the Greater Kansas City Community Foundation, CFLeads became an independent nonprofit organization in 2017.
