About this grant

This grant supports a retrospective evaluation of Mott’s early community foundation and neighborhood small grants program and similar programs by recent funders. An evaluation was conducted by Grassroots Grantmakers, a network of funders investing in resident-driven programs through small grants, under the supervision of the Cleveland Foundation. The evaluation will help the network and other foundations and donors build a substantial base of information about effective funding approaches that support capacity building of grassroots community organizations. A grant increase will allow for broader dissemination of an executive summary of the evaluation report.
