About this grant
The Council on Foundations is a national membership organization created to promote and enhance accountable and effective philanthropy. The council is responsible for maintaining a code of ethics for grantmakers; representing organized philanthropy to government and the media; and educating the public on the role and value of foundations in American life.Funding will enable the council to provide ongoing educational programs and services to its members; convene its annual conference and special conferences for community foundations, corporate members and the affinity group network; and monitor and provide updates on federal legislation impacting philanthropy and the nonprofit sector.
