State Children's Savings Account Assessment

About this grant

Engage Strategies prepared 15 high quality, comprehensive state assessment reports that provided the Foundation and its grantees with strategic information about the opportunity and challenges for promoting children’s savings accounts across the country. The reports answer questions such as: How can this strategy best be framed to garner support? Who are the most effective spokespersons? and, most importantly, How might Mott Foundation support leverage change? This grant increase and extension will enable the grantee to expand their analysis to include up to 15 additional states. This additional information will help the Foundation identify high impact grantmaking opportunities and help our grantees and other stakeholders shape their advocacy strategies and identify critical partners necessary to achieve results. Based in South Carolina, Engage Strategies is a for-profit consulting firm that provides strategic guidance and analytical services to foundations, businesses, and nonprofit organizations.
