About this grant
Building and strengthening the infrastructure of the Flint Cultural Center includes improvements to make the center significantly more accessible to a broad, diverse audience. This grant increase will improve that accessibility by providing support for two popular education and outreach activities, including: the Flint Institute of Music’s "Music in the Parks" program, a summer series of free concerts in a variety of Genesee County outdoor settings, and the Cultural Center’s "Joffrey Midwest Workshop", a highly prestigious program that brings more than 100 talented young ballet dancers to Flint for intensive, pre-professional training, and provides community master classes for a large number of local dancers.
