About this grant

This grant will support the Flint Institute of Arts’ Landscapes from the Age of Impressionism exhibit. The 38 Impressionism paintings from the Brooklyn Museum of Art’s permanent collection include many of the finest examples of mid-19th through early 20th-century French and American landscapes. Also on display were Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings from the institute’s permanent collection and other loaned artwork, which allowed the Flint Institute of Arts to fully illustrate this important period in the history of art, in both Europe and the United States. The exhibit opened on February 5, 2010, and ran through May 2, 2010.
