About this grant

This grant will continue to support the work of the Forest Peoples Programme to ensure that the rights and interests of forest-dependent communities are given priority in the policies and programs of the World Bank Group, as well as the United Nations’ Green Climate Fund. The grantee is an international nonprofit that has played a vital role in ensuring that the concerns of indigenous peoples and other forest-dependent communities are taken into consideration in the review processes of the World Bank Group’s safeguards and standards. This project will continue to assist forest-dependent communities to engage in key debt finance policy debates.
