About this grant

The International Crisis Group researches and analyzes issues and trends that affect Bosnia, Yugoslavia, Macedonia, and Albania for national and international policymakers, the media and international organizations concerned with the Balkans. The goal is to contribute to the prevention and containment of violent conflicts in the region.Mulityear funding will support efforts to track, report on and advocate for the implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement; the peaceful resolution of constitutional disputes in Macedonia and Kosovo; the development of strong, effective and publicly accountable institutions across the region; greater economic investment and growth in the region; and the reduction of global side effects of Balkan instability.Accomplishments during the past two years included producing 44 publications; holding more than 240 meetings and briefing sessions in the Balkans, Western Europe and the United States; and conducting more than 10 policy seminars and workshops in major cities throughout the world.
