Massachusetts Statewide Afterschool Network

About this grant

This grant to the Massachusetts Afterschool Partnership will support the development of the Massachusetts Statewide Afterschool Network to continue to build an afterschool and summer learning system that improves outcomes for children and youth through school-based or school-linked afterschool programs. Over the next three years, the grantee will support the development of policy, partnerships, and funding to benefit youth in afterschool programs. Specific initiatives will include: 1) launching an Afterschool Matters communications and marketing campaign to increase media presence in print, electronically, and on social media; 2) increasing investments to support quality afterschool programs; and 3) developing afterschool standards to be used in the state’s quality rating and improvement system.
