The project goal is to develop community foundations in Peru. Over the past year, Mosaico Laboratorio Creativo researched the potential for community foundation development in Peru and introduced the concept to 141 social sector practitioners and philanthropic leaders. The grantee published two online learning materials, engaged seven initiative groups, piloted a local resource mobilization event and articulated a three-year strategy for developing community foundations in Peru. Over the next two years, the grantee will continue to popularize the community foundation concept, design and administer a community foundation start-up program for up to twelve initiative groups and support the creation of three registered community foundations with technical assistance and matching grants. Based in Lima, Peru, Mosaico Laboratorio Creativo was established in 2017 by a group of young professionals with the mission to strengthen initiatives and organizations working in the social, educational, cultural and artistic fields to motivate citizens to work collaboratively in favor of those most in need.
