About this grant
The National Alliance for the Development of Community Advice Offices is committed to the long-term sustainability of community advice offices as a way of ensuring access to justice within poor and marginalized communities in South Africa. Over the last ten years, the grantee has worked to institutionalize community advice offices as part of the wider justice network to ensure that poor people access their rights. This grant will assist with conducting a feasibility study for the establishment of an African Centre of Excellence for community advice offices that would focus on activities such as research and knowledge production and education and training, among others. The grantee will collaborate with civil society organizations in various parts of the African continent in conducting the feasibility study to ensure that the proposed center would meet their needs.
