About this grant
The program goal is to empower Romanian citizens and communities to exercise their rights and responsibilities. The mission of the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux in Romania is to support the development of civil society through informing and engaging citizens. To this end, the association provides capacity-building services to citizens’ advice bureaus in Romania and represents their interests at national and international levels. In addition, the association conducts research on citizens’ needs for information and advice and advocates for changes in government policies regarding access to information on citizens’ rights and responsibilities. The association was established in 2002 and currently has 50 members. During the grant period, the association will expand its membership, improve its services, strengthen its sustainability, and raise the profile of citizen counseling in Romania.
