About this grant
The National Center for Strategic Nonprofit Planning and Community Leadership and Public/Private Ventures are collaborating to provide technical assistance, training and partnership facilitation for six Fathers at Work Initiative (FWI) sites. FWI is a multiple-site demonstration project created to increase labor market participation by promoting responsible fatherhood among young, low-income fathers.Fourth-year funding will support objectives that include strengthening the six FWI sites; contributing expertise, data, information and analysis to the FWI demonstration; stimulating the development of credible evidence supporting fatherhood programs; and disseminating information, analyses and lessons learned to policymakers, researchers and others concerned about issues of family well-being.During the past year, accomplishments included coordinating an all-site meeting with Public/Private Ventures; encouraging team building with Public/Private Ventures; supporting the implementation of FWI; conducting site visits, meetings and conference calls with Public/Private Ventures and the six FWI sites; providing technical assistance and educational services to FWI sites; analyzing and disseminating data; and leveraging relationships between child support enforcement agencies and the FWI sites.
