About this grant
This grant increase will support acquisition and stewardship costs for The Nature Conservancy’s Great Lakes Forest Project. The project was created to protect, through fee acquisition and conservation easements, more than 271,000 acres of forested land in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The project is a model conservation solution that supports the local timber economy, sustains the local tax base and maintains public access for outdoor recreation.
