About this grant
The Northeast-Midwest Institute is a nonpartisan, Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting economic and environmental vitality for the Northeastern and Midwestern regions of the United States. With prior support from Mott, the grantee provided opportunities for federal decisionmakers, regional stakeholders, and other interested parties to jointly identify and promote regional Great Lakes priorities related to water quality, water conservation, habitat protection and restoration, and invasive species. With this grant increase, the grantee will support an opportunity for education on Asian carp that addresses preventing the introduction of silver and bighead carp into the Great Lakes.
