About this grant
The Ohio Environmental Council is a premier conservation advocacy organization in the state. With previous support, the grantee has focused attention on Lake Erie and its pollution problems and led efforts to improve Lake Erie communities by restoring coastal ecosystems. Recently, the grantee has turned more attention to drinking water, lead contamination, and affordability of clean, safe water supplies. With renewed support, the grantee will build on these efforts while forging a stronger relationship with the agricultural sector in Ohio to find common ground on Lake Erie’s pollution problems.
