About this grant
This grant will enable Policy Studies Associates to analyze the high school performance of former New York City middle-school students who participated in afterschool programs sponsored by The After-School Corporation. The project will address whether high school students who participated in the middle school afterschool program show higher attendance, steadier academic progress, lower dropout rates and lower levels of delinquent behavior. This follow-up evaluation will contribute to the growing body of afterschool research necessary to support both the quality and sustainability of programs.Policy Studies Associates, founded in 1982, focuses on research and evaluation in education, especially K-12 initiatives designed to improve the academic learning and personal development of disadvantaged children and youth.
