About this grant
Southern Echo has received funding from Pathways Out of Poverty’s Building Organized Communities and Community Driven Reform areas. This $20,000 grant increase is for a three-day residential training for twelve community organizations on Graphically Illustrated Statistical (GIS) mapping. This advanced form of computer mapping facilitates organizing by visually showing demographic disparities, simplifying explanations of disparities to low-literacy populations, or for use with visual media displays.
