About this grant
The program goal is to increase individual giving to local nonprofits and civic initiatives in Turkey. The Support Foundation for Civil Society, a Turkish foundation established in December 2014, will develop its organizational and programmatic capacities to facilitate systematic giving and mentoring to nonprofits by individuals and corporations in Turkey and internationally. In 2016–2017, the grantee awarded 27 grants totaling approximately $120,000. Grants supported small, issue-based, community-level nonprofits across Turkey that demonstrated innovative programming and a vision for further organizational development. The grantee is based in Istanbul, Turkey.
