About this grant

The goal of the project is to help non-governmental organizations (NGOs) learn to use ecological economics as a tool for analyzing current policies and practices of international financial institutions and for making concrete alternative proposals.Multiyear funding will support activities that include developing educational and training materials; disseminating information through educational and skillshare workshops; and strengthening specific NGO actions through ecological economic analysis.Accomplishments during the past two years included identifying ecological economists, NGOs and their needs; developing materials, articles and reference libraries; conducting educational and skillshare workshops; strengthening NGO reform efforts; and raising awareness of international finance and trade issues.
